Charity is a place….
toWorship
Psalm 29:2 “Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of his holiness.”
The primary reason we meet together is to focus our attention on God by giving Him worship and receiving His word. We join together, lifting our voices in praise to Him Who gives us meaning and purpose in our lives. We believe the Bible and accept it as God’s word to man, a book that is alive and relevant for today. Worship services at Charity are powerful and meaningful, enlivened with traditional hymnal music and practical messages from Scripture. Our interpretation of God’s word is simple and straightforward, with an emphasis on understanding and applying these truths to everyday life.
to Walk
Luke 20:38 “For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.”
No matter what your age or background, you will find Charity Baptist Church a loving and caring community of sinners saved by the grace of God. We constantly strive to cultivate a warm and friendly atmosphere. While the Christian life is one of joy, we all are confronted with occasional hardships and discouragement. This is why, in our ministries, we treat the Bible as much more than a storybook or textbook- it is a book for living, because it is a living book. Our teachers and preachers, who are instructing children, youth, and adults, are using methods and materials designed specifically for teaching the Bible in a fresh, relevant, and understandable manner. Our ministry calendar is filled with events, trips, dinners, musicals, game-nights, and a variety of other activities for every age group. Church is more than just a place to go. It is a place to live.
to Work
Psalm 100:2 “Serve the LORD with gladness…”
Charity Baptist Church is a place where you will find open doors, open hearts, and an open determination to care for one another. We accept our responsibility to reach into our community in service to others. Opportunities to serve are endless. Our pastor and preachers utilize messages and lessons to continually equip and motivate us to effectively serve our church and our community. There are always more needs to meet, more lives to touch, more hearts to influence, and more opportunities to use your unique God-given talents and abilities. If you are looking for a place to work, a place to get involved, you won’t have to look far to find the perfect fit.
to Witness
Luke 14:23 “And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”
For years, Charity has provided a place where people can hear the truths of God’s word and find meaning in their lives. However, the resulting sense of fulfillment and joy is not something we can or should keep to ourselves. We believe it is our God-ordained responsibility to share the good news of the Gospel with as many people as we can. This message permeates everything we do, from visitation, to outreach activities, to our worship, to the messages preached from our pulpit. The message of the Gospel is paramount. His death, burial and resurrection gives us cause for rejoicing and motivates us to share this key to eternal life with others.
